This archipelago consists of 365 islands and islets. Most of the population lives on Great and Little Exuma, two islands connected by a bridge. If you visit the Bahamas in April, it is possible to attend the Out Islands Regatta. During this most important event of Exuma, the "sloops" compete for the title of best of the Bahamas. The Exuma Land and Sea Park, accessible only by sea, is perfect to discover for many landscapes and marine species.
Located about twenty miles from Paradise Bay Bahamas, Georgetown and the "capital " of Exuma. About 1000 people live in this seaport, a favorite spot for boaters.
There are two major yachting events: the annual Family Island Regatta in Elizabeth Town and the Regatta taking place once a year. Here is concentrated the majority of businesses, government and events.
Car rental is not required on Exuma! STOP is a widely used means of transport, even by tourists.
Still, if you want to rent a car (or scooter), we will be happy to assist you and take you to the hire car that is within 200m of Paradise Bay.
There are several car rental companies on Exuma, but the proximity to "Kellie's Car Rental", allows us to benefit from more attractive price.
You can also use a taxi or call the local bus.
You can rent a boat for 1 or more days. Rental is on Georgetown and lets you navigate around the Bay of Elizabeth Harbour, which contains more than thirty beaches.
Around Paradise Bay, you'll have a choice of several local restaurants.
After our beach, the famous Big D's is open six days a week and offers all the local specialties: Conch Salad, Conch fritters, Grouper, Snapper, etc..
A Haitian restaurant,"Chez Pierre", is located less than 100m.
For those who love the food "more savory, you can go by foot (1km) or taxi to the restaurant to Emerald Bay.
Nothing more practical than having a supermarket less than 1km. Accessible on foot, "Emerald Bay Supermarket" is perfect for you to do the shopping you need for your stay.
